The Staple Jar Project began with something small and almost accidental — a jar sitting on a desk, slowly filling with used staples.
There was nothing glamorous about it. No big idea. No master plan. Just one tiny piece of metal dropped into an empty jar at the end of a long workday.
But over time, something unexpected happened.
Each staple became a quiet symbol of consistency — the truth that small actions, repeated faithfully, become something meaningful. The jar didn’t fill overnight. It filled one piece at a time. Slowly. Patiently. Quietly. Just like healing. Just like growth. Just like faith.
As the jar grew heavier, its message grew clearer:
Life is built from tiny moments — tiny prayers, tiny steps, tiny acts of courage — and God sees every one of them.
Soon others began adding their staples too. Friends, coworkers, and visitors dropped in their pieces as if joining a shared journey. And that simple jar, once forgotten in a corner, became a small community of contributions. A reminder that we are not meant to travel alone.
That spark grew into the idea for this project.
The Staple Jar Project is now a place where people can share the pieces of their stories — the broken parts, the brave parts, the questions, the victories, and the moments where God felt close even when life felt heavy.
Every story is another “staple” added to the jar.
Every testimony becomes a light for someone else.
Every prayer becomes an echo of hope where someone needs it most.
This project exists because God works in the small things — in whispers, not always in thunder… in slow growth, not always in sudden miracles… in jars that fill one fragile piece at a time.
Biblical truth behind this project
“Do not despise these small beginnings,
for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
Zechariah 4:10
The jar reminds us that God is in the tiny steps — the ones no one else sees, the ones we’re tempted to dismiss. He celebrates the beginning as much as the outcome.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Your story — even the tired, messy parts — is welcome here.
This project is meant to be a resting place, not a performance.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
This verse sits at the heart of the Staple Jar.
It’s the promise that no story is too heavy, too painful, or too complicated for God to redeem.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2
When someone shares their story, we carry a little piece of it together — just like adding a staple to the jar.
Burden shared. Heart lightened. Hope renewed.
Closing thought for this section
The Staple Jar Project isn’t about perfection.
It’s not about polished stories or flawless faith.
It’s about real people… real journeys…
and a real God who meets us in the small moments
and turns them into something beautiful —
piece by piece, prayer by prayer, story by story.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him."
Romans 8:28
